Why?

Are you a single dad?

If you are, it’s likely that at one point or another you’ve wound up with a question you didn’t know how to answer, or an issue you didn’t know how to address—or simply, you needed the confidant, or the informed advice of a wingman whose got you’re back.

And like so many single dads, you’ve probably felt like you are alone in what you’re going through, or overwhelmed as you look for guidance and answers in the face information overload.

Unfortunately, kids don’t come with instruction manuals. And the Internet is a sea of information white noise, and many website are talking at you, not with you. There are certainly plenty of parenting sites out there, but few (if any) offer the opportunity for single dads to connect, and engage in dialog at a personal level.

That’s why I created SINGLE DAD’S BLOG.

This is a place where you’ll find the latest information, and reliable advice, stories and perspectives on fun, food, fitness, and fatherhood, tailored specifically for single dads—as well as the opportunity to contribute to the conversation, and share whatever is on your mind.

The thoughts, stories, and perspectives you’ll find here reflect both my experience as the daughter of a single dad, and eventually a second single (step) dad–and my experience as a friend, confidant (and yes, occasionally girlfriend) to many single dads.

I believe that meaningful relationships, having a cause in life, and impacting others is the secret to happiness, and that good men are needed in this world—particularly those who are fathers, who, for whatever reason end up navigating parenthood alone.
